Atang Tshikare
South African designer Atang Tshikare takes inspiration from zoomorphic shapes, biomorphic forms and vernacular architecture to create pieces in Bronze, Stone, Glass and Wood.
I am a Cape Town based, self-taught multidisciplinary artist, my experimental approach to creating work includes mediums such as bronze, glass, stone, and wood; taking inspiration from zoomorphic shapes, biomorphic forms and vernacular architecture.
As an artist my work has been exhibited in South Africa and internationally including shows in Milan, London, Miami and Vienna to mention a few. In 2021 I had my first independent solo show then took part in group shows for Maison Dior and the New York Metropolitan Museum most notably.
