NJ Roseti is an artist based in Oakland, CA, making furniture and sculpture in his shop.

His dominating fabrication is marquetry, a traditional veneer-piecing technique dating back to the first century. He studied furniture design at Savannah College of Art and Design and has since been building his practice on the West Coast and New York.

With its synthesised distortions and classical wood techniques, NJ Roseti’s work carries the nostalgic futurism, technological and religious undertones of new-age music. His work uses a combination of computer and hand-work which allows him to introduce that which often only exists behind a screen to the physical world. Many of his motifs are drawn from low fashion such as sleepwear, undergarments, and medical wear which serve the human experience and mark our time here on earth while alluding to another concurrent reality through the use of cubes and tesseracts, representing the undetected dimensions present all around.
