Sebastian Kommer
German Designer Sebastian Kommer's practice aims to look closely at parts and processes in order to understand, reveal and rethink the things we do - always passionate about the purity and quality of materials and manufacturing processing.
Sebastian Kommer is a Designer born and raised in south Germany next to the lake of Constance and the Alps. He graduated from Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design in Kiel, studied temporarily at the Design Academy Eindhoven and the Burg Giebichenstein in Halle, and worked for Lukas Wegwerth in Berlin. Currently, he is based in Hamburg, established his own practice, and is in the process of finishing his Master's degree in the Open Design class by Konstantin Grcic at the HFBK Hamburg.
His work explores systems, shows components, and recombines them to create new opportunities. The aim is to look very closely at parts and processes in order to understand, reveal and rethink the things we do - always passionate about the purity and quality of materials and manufacturing processing.
