Théophile Blandet (1993) is a French designer and artist working in the Netherlands. He graduated from a Bachelor in Object Design in ESAD de Reims, and a Master in Contextual Design at the Design Academy of Eindhoven in 2017. At the crossroads of popular culture and craftsmanship, his practice navigates the notions of functionality and abstraction through 'infra-ordinary' objects that resist all efforts of categorisation.
In the last years, Blandet shown his work in two solo exhibitions with Fons Welters Gallery (Amsterdam, NL) and Functional Art Gallery (Berlin, DE). He had, among others, exhibited at the Musée du Design de Gent (NL), the Frac île de France (FR) and the K11 Art Foundation (CN).
