Polina Miliou (b. 1990 Athens, Greece) is a designer and sculptor who creates handmade furniture that embraces color, spontaneity, and gestural expression. She often subverts and upcycles humble objects and materials, transforming them into functional art pieces. Her practice revisits themes rooted in anonymous art and architecture, primitivism and symbology. These references are curiously shaped into playful, animated forms with a definitive feminine aura. She studied Architecture Engineering in National Technical University of Athens. She lives in Athens, Greece while she works between Athens and Los Angeles CA.
