Donghoon Sohn finds points of contact between design thinking and object properties to present works that pursue sensory transition through newly defining the making process.

Donghoon, Sohn is the founder and Designer behind Atelier SOHN in Seoul.

I graduated with a Master advanced Design for Luxury and Craftsmanship from ECAL in Switzerland. I understand the properties of objects and identify their variables based on observations of the materials and forms around us and after that define the areas in which designers can intervene. Through this approach to finding points of contact between design thinking and object properties to present works that pursue sensory transition through newly defining the making process.

I have successfully collaborated with global luxury brands such as Bottega Veneta, Vacheron Constantin, Chopard, and Christofle. My works have been exhibited in international exhibitions such as Design Miami, Milan Design Week, Basel World, and so on.
